Snippets From a Life offers a humorous look at Limerick’s social history, covering her ties to the Limerick Lawn Tennis Club and the city's changing social landscape. The memoir captures over seven decades of change, ranging from a childhood without running water to the social shifts of the 1980s.
Vera and her husband Alan were well-known figures in the city; Alan served as a hydrometric engineer at Ardnacrusha, while together they were instrumental in renovating the Limerick Lawn Tennis Club and founding the Thomond Orienteers.
