Joyce's love for reading and writing was nurtured by her inspiring father, who introduced her to the world of books at a young age. As a devoted mother to three wonderful children and a compassionate Sunday school teacher, she has spent countless hours sharing the magic of literature with them. It is through her passion for teaching that Joyce's desire to write and publish her own children's books blossomed.


Educationally, Joyce is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, where she earned a Bachelor of Business Administration with a focus on Finance and International Business. Additionally, she holds a master's degree in Organizational Management and Leadership from Springfield College, further enhancing her understanding of effective communication and leadership skills.


Aside from her literary pursuits, Joyce finds joy in a variety of activities. She delights in reading and writing, knowing that these endeavours fuel her creativity and passion for storytelling. Regular exercise keeps her both physically and mentally fit while travelling allows her to gain inspiration from different cultures and environments. Her spiritual connection is an essential part of her life, as she actively participates in her church community.

Moreover, Joyce cherishes spending time in nature and exploring the wonders of the insect world, a unique fascination that sparks her curiosity.


Originally from South Africa, Joyce currently resides in the United States with her family. From the young age of 8, she found solace and passion in music, lending her voice to numerous church and school choirs. Despite her early musical inclination, Jordyn's life took a tumultuous turn when, in 2016, a back injury abruptly ended her promising career as a competitive gymnast and water skier.Undeterred by adversity, Jordyn turned to music as her beacon of hope during challenging times. Battling through a life-threatening eating disorder that emerged in the wake of her athletic setback, she sought refuge in songwriting and performance, utilizing music as her pathway to recovery.Jordyn's resilience extends beyond her physical struggles; diagnosed with Type One Diabetes in 2013, she became a beacon of inspiration by sharing her journey in her published work, "Type One Diabetes Doesn’t Stop Me," released in 2019.Her academic pursuits led her to Columbia College Chicago, where she obtained a Bachelor of Music with a Minor in Music Business in 2022, and subsequently pursued a Master of Entrepreneurship, graduating in 2023.
