The guys make an apple brandy cocktail popular in the '20s and '30s that has since fallen off (far from the tree.)


JACK ROSE RECIPE:


  • 1.5oz/45ml APPLEJACK
  • .75oz/22ml LEMON JUICE
  • .5oz/15ml GRENADINE


Add ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake until well-chilled.

Fine strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a lemon twist.

The cocktail became so popular that Bénédictine began selling a ready-made B&B blend in 1937.B&B recipe:1 part BRANDY1 part BENEDICTINE D.O.M. Pour hot water into a snifter and discard it to warm the glass.
