This week we were joined by friend of the show and horror/suspense/sci-fi author Joe Prosit. Joe sat down with us to dissect "Attack of the Killer Donuts" from 2016. It's the story of Johnny and Michelle, working at their dead-end donut shop job. But a science experiment mishap causes dozens of the donuts to come to life as bloodthirsty little monsters. Original Air Date: 9/12/2020This week we go WAY back to the very beginning of SlashU to re-visit one of our first few episodes. The sound quality wasn't as good but the laughter is still genuine. We're re-visiting "Killer Workout" also known as "Aerobicide." It's the story of Rhonda's place, a gym where all the beautiful people go to get buff. But someone's talking the gym members and killing them in brutal ways. And for some reason the gym stays open, not an active crime scene at all. We broke it all down back in 2020 so take our class again and learn something!

Well this week we covered one that's not exactly a slasher movie. But it's been recommended a bunch of times by people we meet and talk to about horror/slashers. Apparently this is a cult classic. The story centers around a group of college students who break into a bowling alley as part of a sorority initiation. They steal a bowling trophy, but it breaks open and a mischevious Imp pops out and offers to grant them each one wish. And in typical magical-creature-grants-your-wishes fashion, it all goes horribly wrong. Listen, tell your friends, and enjoy!

We talk about this movie a LOT on SlashU because it was one of those that came out of nowhere and really surprised us. The plot/acting isn't great, but it's a low budget slasher movie so what do you expect? But the effects were outstanding and the brutality of the slasher really stands out compared to other lesser known movies we've seen. It's the story of a group of glow-stick loving ravers who break into an abandoned factory to hold a huge rave. But The Beast already lives there. And he doesn't take too kindly to anyone breaking in. Yes. You are reading that correctly. It's not a typo. This week's movie is called "Ted Bunny" from 2026. Happy Easter! It's the story of documentary filmmaker Sasha. She's trying to make a Ted Bundy documentary where she interviews a never-before-seen victim of the notorious serial killer. So we meet Catherine (Dee Wallace). But not only was Catherine a victim of Ted Bundy, she birthed his deformed rabbit-obsessed child, Ted Jr. The documentary crew finds more than they signed up for and Ted gets loose to wreak havoc on the countryside. This week we covered a movie that we thought was a slasher at first, because it takes place at a Summer Camp and there's a "Doctor" stalking the kids dressed up like a high tech beekeeper. But it's not a slasher. It's a sci-fi thriller that has a cool twist ending. We spoil the whole movie so don't listen until you've watched it unless you're ok with spoilers! The story centers around a young boy named Morgan. It's his first summer at camp. But he has trouble fitting in. For starters, he's just at an awkward young age. But what doesn't help is that Morgan almost drowned not too long ago, so he has a lasting fear of water; something that won't be too popular at Summer Camp. Listen, tell a friend, and enjoy!
