Emily Campbell-Ross bravely shared her story of being raped by a man named Thomas Earle, he was found guilty and avoided jail time. This is her story.Collectively as a community when the news of this sentence was brought into mainstream media, the women of australia were absolutely outraged so ee that yet again, people who convict sexual crimes were not being held accountable for them and getting off on them in the face of good character references and 'supportive family'.Em and Madeleine go into detail in part 1 of the assault she endured and the circumstances surrounding it. This goes into life on base, the assault and subsequent processes that ensued as a response. This is Part 5 (the final part) of a multi part series with Jordyn, and she goes into so much detail about her experience which is so invaluable, as stories from members of the Australian Defence Force rarely are able to or do share their experiences of being victimised. In this episode we really go into the ongoing impacts that caused Jordyn to medically separate from the ADF, the hurdles and intricacies of navigating life as a civilian and landing where she is now with The Athena Project.
