In John’s gospel, he masterfully points us past the scene in Bethlehem and upon who it is in the manger. If we are going to experience the miracle of Christmas, then we need to remove the fleshly filter of seeing a baby and seeing with spiritual eyes the One who created all things. Today we look to the principal truths of John’s gospel as it reveals the manger scene that night in Bethlehem. Here John unfolds the scene by identifying who it is resting in human clothing in that manger. The very Messiah who came to be adored, worshipped, praised, and revered. The very Logos, the Light of the world, who came to take away the sin of the world. Don’t miss the reality of the miracle of the manger and who lies within. He is the Light, the Word, and the Life! Born with purpose! Born for our salvation!

Would you have chosen God’s means of rescue? Most likely not! Would you have chosen God’s means of making us holy? Most likely not! But the miracle of Christmas rests in the truth of God’s method to bring us into right relationship with Him, through His Son Jesus! Today we investigate 3 truths found within the pages of scripture to help us understand His Sovereign plan and purpose.

The Miracle of the Message lies within the Miracle of the Messenger. Jesus is the messenger and the message. Today we look at Hebrews 1:1-4 and peer into who it is that came in the flesh born the King of Kings. The Hebrew writer proclaims at the announcement of the revelation of God through Jesus Christ, who is the essence of God in the highest. This is who the writer announces who has come in these last days as the revelation of God as God’s final word. Jesus come to give Himself to purify us through His blood. If you have ears to hear, hear the word of the Lord.

As we approach Christmas, we are praying our perspective will begin to shift to embracing the miracle of Christmas by first understanding the miracle of the moment. The moment that at the fullness of time, God decided to send His Son Jesus Christ born of a woman and under the law to free from the bondage all flesh from being under the law. Without Christ, we would have no hope. But O God! His perfect plan was in place at the right time Jesus was born! Today we look to the miracle of the moment God tore through His silence with an announcement, a cry, a star, and a birth! Come and see that our God’s timing is perfect, that He offers us a new identity, and that His faithfulness is truly trustworthy.

Gratitude is often an attitude often neglected in our lives. Make no mistake about it, gratitude is a choice we all must make in our lives. Today we examine a Psalm from David that can help us recognize our need for a thankful & grateful heart. This heart begins with understanding our need to reverently, humbly, sincerely, and devotedly seek a God who is worthy of our praise & worship. Our goal is to discover how embracing a thankful/grateful spirit can change our perspective, strengthen our faith, and bring peace no matter the circumstances in our life. When it comes to prayer with persistence most of us in the church struggle. Today we look into the 7 character principles of praying with perseverance and persistence with the devotion of Elijah, Jacob, Daniel, David, and Jesus. Many of want to get off the spiritual couch and into the battle, but at times we forget to engage our will. God gave us a will to exercise and choose His will over our own. He also gave us a will to say ‘No’ to our flesh. Today, we look into how we can stand in victory in the midst of this spiritual war we are in. In this sermon, we will learn to stand in our victory by remembering who the battle belongs to, where our feet should stand, that we must put on the whole armor of God, and we then must resist the enemy. Make no mistake that we are in a battle, regardless of your view. This battle is a spiritual battle that is to be fought with divine weapons that God has given to us. Today we look into being battle station ready for the battle. We peer into being geared up and prepared for this war by putting on the full armor of God! Are you battle station ready? We are called to put off those things that do not align with God’s Word, and put on all those things that are divinely prepared before hand for each of us to put on.
