When we think of what it means to be a Christian, do we consider what it means to Jesus? Jesus told us to follow after Him we had to deny ourselves and pick up our cross. To be a Christian means that we too must learn the same sacrificial love that Jesus demonstrated upon that cross. For us to get to the empty tomb, today we must go through the cross, where the suffering Savior sacrificed everything for our salvation. Come and hear the word of the Lord today.

    Jesus ends His sermon on the Mount with choices. These choices will lead us to a final destination. Today, we discover that Jesus identifies 2 gates that have 2 roads with 2 different crowds and lead to 2 different destinations. What gate you choose to enter will determine the road and destination. Can we get off the wide and easy road? Yes we can! But we must then go through the narrow gate with a difficult path. The Christian life is not easy! It’s fraught with difficulty. Salvation is not hard. We are saved by God’s grace at the expense of Jesus Christ. It is His work at Calvary and tomb that brings us salvation. The hardship is taking this gate and road that is contrary to the nature of sin and the wisdom of the world. Come and hear the word of the Lord! Let it penetrate your soul, that you may examine what gate you have entered.

    When we think about the watchtower, what comes to your mind? God has called men to rise and stand upon the watchtower. Called us to provide, protect, lead, and love as Jesus (Eph. 5)! Today we search the book of Ezekiel who was given the task to be the watchman of the house of Israel. God called him to warn of the coming dangers of not following the Word in obedience. He still calls us to stand without compromise, corruption, and without being lukewarm. What will you do? Regardless, we will all be accountable! We are all going to be responsible for what we did about the message of the gospel and Jesus Christ. If you have an ear come and hear the message of the Lord.
