Growing Through the Grief of Losing my Brother Larry

Ep. 2

When things don't grow, they become tangled or warped. When we are not growing, we stagnate. The grief of losing a loved one can put us in constant pain, paralyze us, and stop us from growing. I recorded this episode coming back from my brother Larry's homegoing celebration, and I wanted to share what I'm going through and what it feels like to be me right now.

In this episode, we will talk about growing through grief and how important it is to leave our feelings run freely and without judgment. We will also discuss a few of grief's many definitions and what it can do to us if we let it take control. I will share a few of the things I'm doing to overcome sadness and grow through grief. Grief is expected and acceptable, but suffering is optional; we will dive deep into that too.

Tune in and listen to this episode of Growing Through Grief, and let me tell you what I've done to release the pain for losing my brother and replace it with love for him.

Grief is a Powerful Catalyst for Healing Grief

Ep. 58
We know grief can take us to several places; some are filled with pain and loneliness, others can make us grow and evolve, and some might lead us to connect with other souls walking a similar path. We recognize grief's effects but sometimes forget its practical use. We forget we can use grief as a tool; we forget it's up to us to grab it and use it to heal. In this episode, inspired by a conversation with a webinar colleague and friend, we explore grief's applicability, unravel grief's healing properties, and learn how it can be a catalyst for healing grief. Together, we question why we let ourselves be dragged into past traumatic or painful experiences and decide to sink and stay in that pain.We also examine our own grief; what is it that we are really grieving? Is it a previous version of ourselves, perhaps an idealized future version that never came to fruition? Tune in, and let's find out the answers to these questions together. In This Episode, You Will Learn:About the things that we already know but might change our mindset if we look at them differently (2:19)What or who is it that we are really grieving for?
