#239 Thomas Herman — The Wakeboarder Who Landed the Impossible Triple Flip
This week on the Good Humans Podcast I’m joined by professional wakeboarder Thomas Herman, one of the most progressive riders the sport has ever seen.
Thomas has been ranked as high as World No. 2 and made history as the first and only wakeboarder to land a triple flip behind a boat. It’s one of those moments that completely changed what people believed was possible in wakeboarding.
In this conversation we dive into Thomas’s journey growing up in the US, how he got into wakeboarding, and the mindset it takes to keep pushing the limits of a sport where progression often means attempting tricks no one has ever landed before.
We talk about the story behind the triple flip, the pressure of competing at the highest level, and how he manages fear when the consequences of mistakes can be huge.
