Ep. 22

Katy Perry is hitting the road for her first global tour in seven years, spanning North America, Australia, South America, and Europe, and ending in Abu Dhabi. Perry recently previewed her high-tech stage design on social media. However, her May 1–2 shows in Guadalajara were canceled due to incomplete construction at Arena Guadalajara.

Ghost has introduced a strict “no cellphones” policy using Yondr pouches for their tour, aiming to enhance audience engagement. While the move was inspired by filming their project Rite Here Rite Now, it led to long entry lines at their debut show in England.

Quadeca, known for his YouTube-to-music career transition, dropped a new track titled “MONDAY,” featuring orchestral elements and rich vocals. It’s part of his upcoming album Vanisher, Horizon Scraper, expected in 2025.

Teddy Swims' Lose Control has broken Billboard records, now holding the longest run in the Hot 100 Top 10 at 58 weeks, overtaking The Weeknd’s Blinding Lights. The track peaked at No. 1 after a 32-week climb and has spent 87 weeks overall on the chart.

Live Nation has acquired Hayashi International Promotions (HIP) in Japan, strengthening its presence in Asia and aiming to elevate both global and J-pop acts.

The Cure has released Mixes of a Lost World, a 24-track remix version of their 2024 album, featuring three remixes for each original song.

FOZZY, led by Chris Jericho, is shifting to a singles-only release strategy. Their latest single, Fall In Line, is out now, with more on the way.

Foreigner is headed to Las Vegas in March 2026 for a five-night orchestral residency. They’ll also tour throughout the Americas in 2025, though frontman Kelly Hansen may miss some overseas shows.

This Week's Billboard Hot 100 Top 5

  1. Luther – Kendrick Lamar & SZA
  2. Die With a Smile – Lady Gaga & Bruno Mars
  3. Nokia – Drake
  4. Pink Pony Club – Chappel Roan
