Yes Chef | Max Halley

Season 2, Ep. 3

If you're partial to a good sandwich, you live around Finsbury Park, or both, you've probably come across Max's Sandwich Shop, the late night hot sarnie shop you can get pissed in. Well, we've got Max Halley, the man behind such epic creations as the Ham, Egg & Chips and the Bhaji Smuggler, on the Yes Chef podcast for a whirlwind of a journey through his rather brilliant mind.

If you haven’t already, check out Max’s Sandwich Book here – we had a go at Claudia's Guac 'n' Eggs and it was good.

The final episode of Yes Chef Season 3 is with the nicest man in the restaurant business, a regular on TV cooking shows, the Spanish legend, the man who nearly chose dentistry over food (we're so glad he didn't), chef Jose Pizarro. The Godfather of Spanish food has four restaurants to his name, with José Tapas Bar on Bermondsey Street; Pizarro, just a few yards from José Tapa; José Pizarro at Broadgate Circle; and his latest venture The Swan Inn Esher. 01:05:03
Hello Hello. The lovely Ravinder Bhogal is in conversation with us on Yes Chef this week. The chef, food writer and stylist came into the limelight by appearing as Gordon Ramsay's new Fanny Craddock on The F Word. A few books later and Ravinder has her own restaurant Jikoni, a lovely cosy kitchen-style diner in Marylebone. Ravinder has an amazing story to tell, so pop that kettle on and press play.If you’re new to Yes Chef, it’s a podcast where we chat to some of our favourite chefs and foodies and uncover their journey into food. 57:38
Imagine being the chef in one of the most talked-about restaurants in London. Oh the bloody pressure. Well, that is exactly what Ollie Dabbous has been under at Hide, who earned a Michelin star within the first six months of opening. WHAT! • 2. Richard Corrigan

    01:10:22
We couldn't wait to get into Corrigan's for this episode, it was raining outside. Only kidding, Richard Corrigan is a man who needs no introduction. The legendary Irish chef looks after Corrigan's Mayfair, Bentley's Oyster Bar and Grill, Bentley's Sea Grill in Harrods in London, and Virginia Park Lodge in Virginia, County Cavan and so to open Daffodil Mulligan just off Old Street. A man who can tell you whimsical tails of times of old from Ireland to Amsterdams to London, this episode is best served with a cold pint of Guinness. Just hit play.
  • 1. Melissa Hemsley

    55:44
We are back with Yes Chef Season 3....season bloody three, where does time go? In the first episode Ben and Jordan head into the lovely home of feel-good-food cook and writer Melissa Hemsley. It's not the conventional Yes Chef chit chat as Melissa is armed with a distracting amount of chocolate and asks more questions than a customs officer, but you are in for a treat with this hugely insightful episode that covers championing food, restaurants and finding your passion as well as taking a few chaotic turns along the way. So whether you get the podcast on whilst relaxing, jogging or wallpapering your spare room, hit that play button. If you're new to Yes Chef, it's a podcast where we chat to some of our favourite chefs and foodies and uncover their journey into food.
