We mean this when we say this is going to be the first of many episodes we will have this lunatic on because his employment history is the most mental you’ll ever hear of. Capper takes us on a walk down memory lane where he found himself working in Thailand as a reggae boat guide, which was about as bonkers as it sounds. He also shared how he worked at a paintball place where he was shot violently by losers which was about as humiliating as it sounds. We loved this chat with this great man. On this episode of ‘Work Hates’ we chat to scooter King, X Game Gold Medallist and the face of action sports Ryan Williams, AKA R-Willy. This is a little different to our usual comedian guests because he isn’t a comedian, but similar to the comedians we have on, his work history was pretty limited. R-Willy made a name for himself before he had to get a real job, and he’s been so successful that he will almost definitely never need a real job. Bretty was so starstruck for this episode that he barely spoke, and Bron unashamedly didn’t know who he was or that grown men rode scooters so she asked questions that embarrassed Bretty to no end. On this episode of ‘Work Hates’ we talk to comedian, podcaster and cartoonist Tommy Dassalo. We both assumed Tommy had a very brief history with employment, but it turns out the bloke has not only worked, but he’s worked at some really god awful places. From a well known burger place where he had to wear a bandanna, to working with a fellow who hated him, poor old Tommy has been through the ringer. Come for the shitty work stories, and stay for the dreadful gig tale he has, where he had to do a three hour putt-putt corporate where he ate shit for the entire gig. On this episode of ‘Work Hates’ we chat to standup comedian, actor and teacher, Urvi Majumdar! Urvi may have started her career as a teacher, but thanks to giving up on appeasing her migrant parents, she followed her dream of becoming an artist! She has her own television show on ABC called ‘Urvi Goes to an All Girls School’ which is incredibly funny and a terrific insight into her background. Her first job saw her working in a lingerie shop which was just as awkward as you’d imagine, and her worst bombing story had us cringing like mad. On this episode of ‘Work Hates’ we chat to online sensation and hilarious standup comedian, Jenny Tian. She explains how frozen yoghurt is made, and the best way to get fired from a frozen yoghurt place. We were shocked to learn about the scam her uni was running, and why you should give call centre people a conversation rather than slamming the phone down on them (Bron will never not do this). Unlike Adelaide, we can release this one! We had a bloody excellent time with Aunty Donna’s Broden Kelly and the internet’s favourite public toilet reviewer, Sez.
