Before she was an internationally successful comedian, she worked with homeless and underprivileged people which makes her a much better person than both Brett and Bron. She’s fresh off the back of starring in a blockbuster film with Amy Schumer and her international standup tour is selling thousands of tickets on the daily. Her job history is pretty breezy, but her experience with grabby audience members and unsolicited nudes took the wind out of us. Red has been a cleaner where he quit after a particularly gross encounter and he’s also been a delivery man who ruined a girl’s 16th birthday. She has recently captured Australia’s heart from her recent role on ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ and she’s now on tour where she’s selling out gigantic theatres Australia wide. She hasn’t always been a big star though. Before comedy, she worked heaps of awful jobs including a 24/7 bowling alley in the casino where she witnessed a gun fight. This week on ‘Work Hates’ we chat to identical twins and comedy duo Ben and James Stevenson aka The Stevenson Experience. They’ve been performing together since they were 15 and whilst it hasn’t always been an easy ride, they genuinely like each other. Individually they had some awful work stories including the time they were teenagers and a woman made Ben look at her naked photos. Together, they had a gig that was so bad they feared for their lives.

This week on ‘Work Hates’ we talk to comedian, ex-radio host and national icon, Sammy J! He is a household name who is arguably the most loveable man on the planet, so he took us through some chapters of his life that shocked us. For example, the time he worked in a store where is was made to feel invisible, or the time he was a teenager and an established performer told him to “f**k off”. Sammy is a gifted storyteller, so everything he brought to the podcast was gripping and we left this conversation better people. This week we chat to standup comedian and ex-lawyer Andrew Portelli. He is one of the best joke writers in the business, but before he was a gig pig, he was a prosecutor where he sent bad guys to jail. Andrew explains that he started his work as a modern day hero as a young age when he catfished creeps online ‘for fun’. The man is twisted as shit, but we love him dearly. He became an online staple during COVID as a highschool student, and his comedic talents have grown from strength to strength. Blake’s early success means he hasn’t had many jobs, but the jobs he did have, he was pretty shit at. You dodged a bullet, Reject Shop! There aren’t many telly shows, stages or radio stations he hasn’t been on, and you’d be looking a long time to find someone who doesn’t like him. But before he was a famous comedian, he was the world’s worst graphic designer due to the fact he is colour blind.
