We Are More Than Moms

Michaela Podolsky on 3 under 3, being pregnant 4 years in a row and finding clarity and purpose through becoming a mom

Season 1, Ep. 28

So special to have Michaela Podolsky on today’s episode. She has not done a podcast since 2021 (with her sister Arielle Charnas), so we feel SUPER honored she decided to share with us. We’ve both been following Michaela for quite some time, so this was a full circle moment for us. Michaela shares the realities of 3 under 3, what the hardest transition was, and how being pregnant for 4 consecutive years impacts your identity and relationship with your body. She also shares openly about losing a twin in her first pregnancy and navigating that loss, while moving to Florida away from her family in NYC who she is exceptionally close with. We dive into Michaela’s relationship with her sisters and how they’ve inspired her career / motherhood journey, as well as her relationship with her husband, Brett, and their secret to a strong relationship after 3 kids and 10+ years of being together. She discusses how she parents vs. how she was raised - including how her own mother instilled confidence in her at a young age. Overall, Michaela’s positive, glass half full attitude to life is incredibly refreshing and inspiring and we know you will love this episode as much as we did!

    49:42||Season 1, Ep. 114
    In this episode with Dr. Sara Bloom, we unpack the hidden emotional and physical toll of modern motherhood — and why so many women feel exhausted, disconnected, and constantly behind despite doing everything “right.” We explore how today’s wellness culture often asks mothers to optimize more, perform more, and carry more, when what they truly need is restoration, nervous system support, and permission to slow down.We also dive into what led Sara to create Mavie, a maternal wellness app intentionally built without streaks, scores, or pressure to “do wellness perfectly.” Designed to meet mothers where they are, Mavie focuses on realistic support through simple practices, accessible tools, and meaningful community. Whether you’re a new mom, navigating identity shifts, or feeling overwhelmed by the always-on pace of modern life, this episode is a reminds me to the days I jumped er that wellness should support you, not become another responsibility to manage.Use code MTMOMS for 1 month free on Mavie!Instagram: @wearemorethanmomsPatreon: More Than Moms Guides & Resources Join our IRL LA communitySubscribe to our NewsletterProduced by Peoples Media

  • 108. Waking Up Before My Kids Changed Everything (But Not How You Think)

    17:59||Season 1, Ep. 108
    Before you roll your eyes at the idea of waking up before your kids—this isn’t that kind of episode.This isn’t about being more productive or doing more. It’s about creating space for yourself before tending to everyone else’s needs. Because without that time, it’s easy to spend your days in reactivity—jumping from one need to the next—instead of moving through your day with intention.In this episode, we talk about what it looks like to carve out even a small moment for yourself, why it’s been life-changing for us, and how to approach it in a way that actually feels supportive—not stressful. Because it’s not about waking up earlier, it’s about carving time for yourself. Instagram: @wearemorethanmomsPatreon: More Than Moms Guides & Resources Join our IRL LA communitySubscribe to our NewsletterProduced by Peoples Media
