We continue our look at the opening scenes of each movie in the Skywalker Saga with a stop in the Original Trilogy! This discussion covers where it all began nearly 50 years ago with what is arguably the most iconic opening shot in all of Star Wars! We're thrown into a frenetic escape, rising tensions (not temperatures), and plans for the Emperor's direct involvement! There's a meteor that hit the ground near here. We're going to check it out, it won't take long.

We're at the start of a new year so we've decided to go back to the beginning as we look at the opening scenes of each movie in the Skywalker Saga! Each of these opening sequences serves a purpose for the film and we discuss how they set the tone for the movies they introduce us to. We start at the beginning with the Prequels; diving into Jedi business, an assassination attempt, and a massive space battle! Keep your concentration here and now where it belongs.

R2-D2 and C-3PO were the first Star Wars characters we met in 1977 and have been an iconic and comedic staple ever since. These bickering best friends ground us in our galaxy far, far away and help to safeguard our story. Devoted and loyal, these two droids are friends to us all, for that and so much more is why we love R2-D2 and C-3PO!

2025 is coming to a close so we're looking back at all our Star Wars highlights of the past year! From new shows and milestone anniversaries, to rediscovering old books and iconic classics, there is so much from this past year to enjoy! We hope you had fun playing Star Wars in your own ways in 2025 and we wish you all the best for a brighter new year!
