The Wampa's Lair: A Star Wars Podcast

Every Saga has a Beginning.... The Phantom Menace even has a documentary called "The Beginning" and we are taking the time to talk all about it! Not only is it a well crafted documentary in and of itself but it gives us a fly on the wall view of many key moments during the production of the first Star Wars Prequel. Casting choices, production problems, and technical impossibilities are only the beginning! Like poetry, it rhymes.

Star Wars: Legacy by Madeleine Roux is the new book telling us the story of Rey and Leia after the events of The Last Jedi, exploring how each of them can move forward together in a Master/Apprentice relationship. For a book this good we had to get our buddy Greg "EyeOnCanon" back on the show to break it all down! We explore the journeys each character goes through, the themes, and even some surprises along the way!

There is always some truth in Legends, and this truth has some great characters! We step back in time to count down our Top 5 Expanded Universe characters from across the years. There's good guys and bad guys, characters from the prequel era and characters from the New Jedi Order. Whether or not you hear us mention your favorite EU character please join the conversation and tell us yours!

The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. We dive into the weaver of the dark side web, Palpatine himself! Karl and Jason explore the goals Palpatine had, the tools he used to achieve those goals, and what makes Palpatine one of the most compelling villains in movie history. Let's just hope we are strong enough to resist his temptation of UNLIMITED POWER!!!
