The Wampa's Lair: A Star Wars Podcast

Every Saga has a Beginning.... The Phantom Menace even has a documentary called "The Beginning" and we are taking the time to talk all about it! Not only is it a well crafted documentary in and of itself but it gives us a fly on the wall view of many key moments during the production of the first Star Wars Prequel. Casting choices, production problems, and technical impossibilities are only the beginning! Like poetry, it rhymes.

Kylo Ren is many things; the son of Rebel heroes, nephew to a Jedi Master, and grandson to the most infamous dark side enforcer of all time. All this and more makes up the fascinating and conflicted villain of the Sequel Trilogy. We explore his journey into the dark, the mask that hides him, his mythical connection to Rey and more! It's time to LET GO...and listen to this podcast!

Rey's journey is the cornerstone of the Sequel Trilogy so we're taking time to discuss our favorite aspects of who she is as a character! Starting as a scavenger on Jakku and ending up as a guardian of the future of the Jedi is an impressive journey in and of itself, one that is perfectly enhanced by John Williams' beautiful theme for her! Be with us as we dive into our favorite reasons for why we love Rey!

Star Wars: Legacy by Madeleine Roux is the new book telling us the story of Rey and Leia after the events of The Last Jedi, exploring how each of them can move forward together in a Master/Apprentice relationship. For a book this good we had to get our buddy Greg "EyeOnCanon" back on the show to break it all down! We explore the journeys each character goes through, the themes, and even some surprises along the way!

Strap in and check your thrusters, we're looking back at the animated show Star Wars Resistance! Some of our stand out aspects include the visual style, Tam's journey into the First Order, the found family standing together on the Colossus, and more! If you haven't checked out this hidden gem of a show we hope we can inspire you to give it a chance!

The Ahsoka Season 2 Teaser has FINALLY dropped and we can't wait to talk about it! The stakes are bigger, the battles more epic, and the journey calls to us. We talk about everything from fascinating flashbacks, dynamic space battles, the misty return of Dathomir, and the quest to stop all wars. So the question remains; are you a Jedi, or not?

Oh muy muy we love you! This episode is all about the most famous Gungan in the Star Wars universe, Jar Jar Binks! We discuss many of the aspects we enjoy about this character; from the lovable klutz and loyal friend to the embodiment of innocence in the Prequel Trilogy. Jar Jar may not be the biggest star of the saga but he has left an unmistakable mark on the galaxy far far away....

The Dark Side of the Force is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. We dive into the weaver of the dark side web, Palpatine himself! Karl and Jason explore the goals Palpatine had, the tools he used to achieve those goals, and what makes Palpatine one of the most compelling villains in movie history. Let's just hope we are strong enough to resist his temptation of UNLIMITED POWER!!!
