Dr. Curves Andrew Jimerson | How to Do Plastic Surgery

Season 1, Ep. 32

Throughout history, people have always desired to look younger and feel better about their appearance. Traditional plastic surgery procedures only focused on correction through excisional methods, often resulting in unnatural, operated-on appearances.

In 2006, a young woman asked Dr. Jimerson for a tummy tuck and liposuction of her love handles. She jokingly asked if he could use the fat from the liposuction to enhance her buttocks. The plastic surgery community knew very little about this procedure at the time. However, Dr. Jimerson, being an innovator, agreed to perform the process for her.

Advanced Plastic Surgery Solutions is a new plastic surgery practice in Atlanta that specializes in the latest techniques for cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. Dr. Andrew Jimerson II, who received outstanding training, brings his expertise to this John’s Creek practice. He fell in love with Atlanta during his undergraduate education and then traveled to Ohio for medical school. He was one of three medical students from across the nation selected to train in plastic surgery at the Ohio State University Medical Center.

My creative and performance energies for more than 30 years have filled many with cultural appreciation, celebration, encouragement, and joy! I've been recognized as a cultural preservationist for my original songs, writings, performances, and presentations. Through her healing, a passion for helping others was born. She returned to school at 39 to become a psychotherapist and, ten years later, graduated with a PhD in Counseling and Somatic Psychology.Dr. Nae’s private practice quickly flooded with women recounting an all-too-familiar story of abuse with a pathological partner. Her goal of helping people develop healthy relationships took on a life of its own as she realized that trauma bonds were increasingly prevalent and destroying the lives of hundreds of women. • 167. Author Morgan Lerette | Blackwater Iraq: Guns, Girls, and Greed

    32:41
Experience the world of private contractors conducting high-threat missions for a nascent Iraqi government in the hopes of rebuilding after the fall of Saddam Hussein. With limited support, the men of Blackwater protected US diplomats as the country descended into sectarian violence. It was a hazardous mission complete with rockets, mortars, improvised explosive devices, and not knowing who or where the enemy was.Morgan Lerette’s irreverently honest memoir shows the good and bad of injecting private armies into active combat zones in the name of diplomacy and digs deep into the bonds of brotherhood created by war. With gut-wrenching tragedy, dark humor, and parties that make Animal House seem like a Disney film, this memoir offers a firsthand perspective on how men act and react in war.Lerette, a private contractor employed by the notorious Blackwater in the early days of the Iraq War, pulls no punches in calling out the incompetence of both the US military and the Department of State during the collapse of Iraq. You can decide if the insertion of private contractors in Iraq assisted or detracted from the war effort and if the costs in blood and treasure were worth the carnage.
