Was all of Sci-Fi more homogeneous because of the popularity of Star Wars?

As two people who love the Fallout franchise we're pretty stoked on the Fallout show so far, but did season 2 stick the landing? We'll talk about it, as well as the characters and story arcs that stood out for us for one reason or another. Was Vault 31 pointless? What exactly is happening to Thaddeus? Will Arcade Gannon make any sort of appearance? Is Rum Tum Tugger really as horny as he seems? Why is the Count of Monte Cristo? The bois talk about at least some of that.
