It's just that it is so much more fun and beautiful to not be all alone, and it's weird that it feels like iconoclasm to say things like "This person should have asked for help from another person instead of doing it on their own." Don't get it twisted, it is nice to not have to ask for help on something, we all get that, but why would you turn to AI or make a worse product instead of having fun with another person who is good at a skill you are clearly interested in, then you can learn more, make a friend, and make good fun content or products or economies. And no, this isn't a "Kids these days" complaint, One because it isn't Kids it's every age group and economic class, and Two because we've always been pretty anti social, I mean look at those vintage hotel doors with the empty space in them so you didn't have to talk to a door attendant. Okay. I knew what I wanted to be when I was 5 years old and um, I was famous at 19, and had a top rated show at, um, in my twenties actually. But, uh, I thought, I kinda had thought I had it made, it didn't occur to me how rough my career was gonna be and my life was gonna be and I'm not saying "oh poor me" but whatever. Um. But, uh, I was, I really was either on the top or the bottom, you know, I, I was either a loser or winning an oscar so its been, you know, I'm sure a lot of you in the audience know what I'm talking about you know so, but um. In the early 80s it got so bad that I had to go to Las Vegas and um, well it was called "The Elephant's Graveyard" in those days and I got a, uh, and I got dropped from my label and then I, another label picked me up, and I recorded a song called Believe, and (Applause) and I was, I was the first artist to use Auto-Tune. (Applause) so yeah. We didn't call, we did, there was no such thing as "Auto-Tune," it was a pitch machine, you guys are gonna know what I'm talking about right. So anyway, um, the thing I want to tell you, the only thing I wanted you to take away with you, and I've been in this business for 60 fucking years. (Applause) But I just want to tell you never give up on your dream no matter what happens. Live it, be it, and if it's not happening now, it will happen soon. So that's all I have to say. Thank you. I would LOVE to figure out sound. I just do not understand how different we all sound in-between recording and the edit. Is it that one of us is lying? That has to be it. We check and make sure that in the recording software that we all sound about the same volume and that isn’t the case in the edit so one of us has to be lying during mic check. Which one is it. Let’s look at the Suspects:Juliann: The One Who Records the Audio   - Motives: The Youngest, Afraid of Confrontation, Spite on Jeffrey from a wrong he definitely committed when we were all younger and evil, Most Potential of going Solo and can leave the other two behind in their shine, usually sounds great.   - Alibi: Knows more about recording and Audio than the other two, has a great rig, doesn’t hate Jessica.Jeffrey: The One Who Edits the Audio   - Motives: Is the one with the worse quality audio this episode, often the most petty person in the room, recently called a domestic terrorist by a “federal agent”   - Alibi: His Audio sucks this recording, Initiates the Mic Checks, has been fighting this fight for 95 episodes and bought microphones for Jessica and encouraged Juliann to upgrade her kit also.Jessica: The One Who Just Recently Got a Working Computer   - Motives: Oldest, knows the others respect her too much to pass blame, has plenty of activities outside of the podcast, therapist is leaving, has dogs who would prefer her not be on this podcast. This last one isn’t Jessica but Jessica adjacent   - Alibi: genuinely with love in my heart do not believe that she knows enough about this to be able to sabotage, unless she has been acting this whole time, contributes more listenersWell I’m stumped, I’m leaving this up to you gumshoes. The best way to listen to this one is with one ear pod in while you are in a Ross Dress for Less.Not mentioned in this episode is how the penny isn't gone, and if you think it is, great! It should be! However, it shouldn't just be technically gone, it should be removed by Congress (power of the purse) and in it's removal should be rules like if you want to still be charging people pennies and they pay cash, you should be required to round down and not up! Right? Because why should you be punished for a company being lazy? The reason everything ends in pennies anyway is because they don't trust you or employees so them being rewarded is criminal. And also, if you are getting rid of the penny because of any reason to get rid of the penny you also need to get rid of the nickel! If you just pretend to get rid of the penny it's just performance for a headline and not actual smart or thought out legislation! And then on 49 cent day at Ross, if you but just one item and pay with cash you should only have to pay 40 cents, or just market it as 50 cent day which is just as cool because the economy is not great!
