This week, the Korean War is now over and we're back to our normal cadence! We're kicking off our Sports theme with a show all about it with Coach! Craig T. Nelson leads a cast of incredible supporting characters as he plays a head coach for a fictional college just trying to keep it together. Did we like it? Yes we did! Enjoy the show

We're wrapping up MASH month with an episode that takes us a bit deeper into drama territory. This show was masterful at balancing the comedy but also saying things that needed to be said. It's our 3rd tour of the Mobile Army Surgical Hospital! Are we tired of it yet? Not even close! Audie brings us our episode tonight focusing on the arrival of an army bigwig by the name of Douglas MacArthur. The whole bunch is getting ready for his imminent arrival as the 4077th is the best dang mobile army hospital the military has ever seen. Will it be worth it? Does Hawkeye even care? We're continuing M*A*S*H month by watching a later season episode, "Movie Tonight." As tensions are building around the base, Colonel Potter decides its time to have some "jocularity" and shows his favorite movie to the troops. This is one of those episodes that functions as a filler to some degree but never phones it in. It's joke after joke after joke for almost the entire runtime. It also gets the cast to showcase some of their many talents. We had a good time with this "more comedy than drama" episode. You asked, and we FINALLY answered! It's M*A*S*H Month here on Those Were The Days! One of the most celebrated shows of the 70s and 80s is finally getting the attention it deserves from your classic tv friends. Never have we done a single show for a whole month, but we figured we owe it to you after this much time. We're kicking things off with the pilot episode to see just what people saw in this show based on a movie based on a book. Did we like it? Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol" has been told and retold countless times. Adapted by everything from the Muppets to weird motion capture CGI. Heck, we even did an adaptation of it once in this block of Those Were The Days when we covered Highway to Heaven! But there are a few retellings that stand tall above the others and today we're covering Mickey's Christmas Carol. A short, but very memorable retelling that introduced many of us to Scrooge McDuck for the first time. Despite the fact that he's been around since the 40's, this 1983 classic pushed him into our hearts and then kept him there by making him the main character of Ducktales. This one holds a special place in all of our hearts and I'm glad we're rounding out another year of television with it.We'll be back in 2026 with more TV, but for now we're taking a festive break to spend time with our friends and family over the holidays.
