Lorraine is an Irish breast cancer survivor working in digital health and has helped create a new HSE app giving patients the tools to prevent lymphoedema after treatment. For many people, finishing cancer treatment is meant to mark the end of a long and frightening journey. For thousands of survivors however, another health challenge can quietly begin afterwards — one many patients have never even heard of. That condition is lymphoedema. For one Irish healthcare professional and breast cancer survivor, discovering that risk during her own treatment helped inspire a digital solution that could now support thousands of patients across Ireland.Listen to what Lorraine had to say!
