The Roey Sustainability Cafe will launch next week! Here is what to expect, with the voices of Jonathan Nobrega, Bridget Steenkamp, Gabor Sarlos and Hanna Baxter.

In this episode, Amelia and Louis speak with Jonathan Nobrega, Roehampton graduate and Youth Project Coordinator at the London Wildlife Trust, about engaging young people from underrepresented backgrounds in the sustainability sector. Jonathan reflects on his journey from studying Environmental Humanities at Roehampton to leading sustainability initiatives as Events and Sustainability Project Coordinator at Southlands College, and how those experiences shaped his path into environmental work. In this episode, Amelia and Louis speak with Dr Gabor Sarlos, Associate Professor and Head of Employability, about why climate concern doesn’t always turn into action. From personal connections with nature to student attitudes towards sustainability, the conversation explores what motivates change and what holds people back. In this episode, Amelia and Louis speak with Hanna Baxter, a Roehampton student whose sustainability journey connects nature, leadership and wellbeing. Growing up in the Dorset countryside and now studying in London, Hanna shares how her connection to nature has shaped her perspective on sustainability and student life.
