The Outer Reels

The second of three attempts at getting Gene Roddenberry's "Pax" series going leaves Sam angry this time, but at least he's only got one more to go. This one has the awesome John Saxon, so it's not a complete waste of time.

This one's got some serious Outer Reels royalty in it, but is an otherwise mediocre movie.

Jason subjects Sam to the first of three(!) made-for-TV movies that were an attempt to get a new Gene Roddenberry sci-fi series onto network TV in the early 70's.

Truly one we watched so you don't ever, EVER need to.

We were excited by this, and left disappointed. How do you have a movie "staring" Ernest Borgnine, and only use him for 16 minutes?!?

We were surprised by this one. It's not good, but it's a lot more fun than we expected it to be!

We're starting a new year with a new season: Forgotten Apocalypse! Jason cheats right off the bat with a movie that only has a slight apocalypse, but it does start with a small nuclear war, so it counts, damnit. We also welcome back our Returning Outer Reels Champion William Smith, for his 3rd appearance in one of our movies!

"Some ex-cons and two helpless girls get trapped inside a mine shaft with a Temu Hills Have Eyes monster that never really becomes a threat." Sam nails that one.

Sam is annoyed that we even did this movie and spends more time talking about He-Man and Johnny Mnemonic, but Jason loved it.
