The insuleoin Podcast - Redefining Diabetes

#46: Cardio and Type 1 Diabetes: Avoiding Highs and Lows.

In this week’s episode of the podcast, Eoin talks about Cardiovascular training (Aerobic exercise); running, walking, swimming, playing sports etc.

Throughout The insuleoin Podcast Eoin consistently emphasises the importance of regular exercise if you’re living with Type 1 Diabetes. We all know that exercise has plenty of benefits, but it has even more in relation to managing blood sugar. Frequent exercise will work wonders on your blood sugar and greatly increase your insulin sensitivity.

Saying that, it can sometimes feel quite daunting getting into an exercise routine as there are a lot of different factors to consider. The goal is to exercise, workout and train effectively without letting Diabetes get in the way (high and low blood sugars).

Eoin offers advice about how to exercise safely, effectively and confidently despite living with Type 1 Diabetes.
