#276: Managing Grief and Finding Small Joys, with Bridget McNulty

Today Eoin is joined by Bridget McNulty (@mcbridgetmcnulty).

Bridget is from South Africa and was diagnosed with Type 1 at the age of 25. Since then, she’s been hugely involved in the diabetes community — doing amazing work to raise awareness and make life with diabetes easier to understand and manage.

She’s a writer, content strategist, and co-founder of Sweet Life — South Africa’s largest online diabetes community. She also launched South Africans with Diabetes, the country’s first-ever diabetes podcast, designed to answer real questions without all the medical jargon.

Bridget is also the author of two booksThe Grief Handbook, which she wrote after the sudden loss of her mother, and her latest, Daily Glimmers, which is all about finding small, positive moments in everyday life.

In this episode, we talk about grief, resilience, and the idea of “glimmers” — how small daily habits and moments can make a big difference, both in diabetes management and life in general.
