#240: Linda Carrier (Part 2)

Part 2 of Eoin's chat with Linda Carrier.

Linda has been living with Type 1 Diabetes for over 47 years. Within that time she has certainly lived with the aim of having no regrets.

Linda is an ultra runner, and has run half marathons, full marathons (78 total), 50 mile races, and everything in between. She also successfully completed 7 marathons, in 7 days, on 7 continents. She’s even written a book about her life experiences and advice, titled, “Outrunning Diabetes: An Ultra-Marathoner’s Adventure Across the Seven Continents”.

Linda speaks in detail about…

  • How she adjusted to her new life with Type 1 Diabetes as a child.
  • How her management was different to her brother and sister’s management.
  • The reason why she started running.
  • Her blood sugar running strategy.
  • WHat running a marathon in the Antarctic was actually like.
  • How she overcomes fear with Type 1 Diabetes.
  • Why living with no regrets is so important.
  • And much more!
