Paul is a leading football reporter for the Reach stable of newspapers and as such has seen/worked with our last three managers in their former positions as Chelsea Manager. As such he can give a unique insight into Lampard's experiences as Chelsea manager and what he brings to the Everton position.

In addition Rodger gives his insight, particularly as to the style of play Everton may engage in and what it means for the future of key players such as Richarlison and Calvert-Lewin.

    01:19:04|
I get together with Matt Slater of the Athletic to chat with Bart Huby of LCP Actuaries whose football analytics division has produced a recent report on football finances entitled "Bigger, better but also riskier". The report can be found on the link below. We have a really passionate discussion, primarily focused on the findings of Bart's and LCP's insightful report on football finances but looked through the eyes of two passionate supporters of lower league clubs, Bart as a Tranmere Rovers fan and Matt as a long suffering, but hopefully more optimistic Southend United fan seeing better times ahead. We look at the attractions of lower league football from a fan and owner perspective. Additionally we look at the financial relationship between the Premier League, the EFL and lower leagues. With Everton's takeover issues current we look at the market for football clubs, valuations and governance,Thanks for listening, and thanks for the expertise and passion both Bart and Matt bring to the subject. We hope you enjoy it!A full transcript of the podcast is available here
