The Burgerball Podcast

We're back. And believe it or not, our heads and our hearts are in lock step when it comes to the Mets and their chances this week against Atlanta. Plus, football.

We're back for an express edition of the Burgerball Podcast which is basically an NFL sandwich with Mets talk as the bread. We fawn over the Mets' bullpen, then we recap Week One of professional football before saying a prayer for the blue n' orange.

It's another boffo edition of the Burgerball Podcast where Jake challenges me to name Dodgers starting pitchers and make Super Bowl picks. Also, we discuss Jesse Winker's clutch gene, why Kenley Jansen wearing an OMG shirt is good vibes but bad karma, and discuss how Milt Pappas should have had a perfect game in '72.

We all have an ethos. Jake made his ethos known this week, and we talk about that. But mostly we talk about Francisco Lindor's MVP candidacy and we moan about Alan Trammell getting robbed in 1987.(of the MVP award ... not robbed like, on the streets or by his financial manager.)

We're coming to the end of the baseball season, and Jake and I spend 45 minutes telling you how important the ten days are for the Mets. First, we complain about how the Mariners have wee wee'd away their season, and we end with the only Olympic recap you'll ever need.

The White Sox are awful. I think they will expunge the '62 Mets from the record books. But Jake thinks their 21 game losing streak ends tonight (Tuesday 8/6.) We also chat about the Mets and Olympic soccer. Don't miss this one.
