Take A Breath with FREO2
Take a Breath with Rebeca Gyumi
This year, FREO2 has initiated a three-year Gender Equity Strategy, with the aim to improve health outcomes for women and girls in low-resource settings and make advances towards the UN goal of achieving gender equality and empowering all women and girls. In this season of Take a Breath with FREO2, we’ll be speaking with three incredible women from across Africa, who are working in healthcare and advocacy spaces to enhance the lives of girls and women.
In today's episode of Take a Breath with FREO2, our host Jennifer Hansen sits down with Rebeca Gyumi, Tanzanian Advocate, Founder & Executive Director at Msichana Initiative. Msichana Initiative is an NGO which seeks to ensure the right to education is equally guaranteed without discrimination through improving the lives of girls by enhancing access to education opportunities, strengthening child protection systems, facilitating access to menstrual hygiene products and facilities and promoting legal and policy reforms that envision the best interests of girls in Tanzania.
