Sold as Seen by RMS Motoring

Following a summer hiatus, Sold As Seen returns. Andy was at an Evo Trackday at Bedford Autodrome, and the Pistonheads Annual Service, along with being impressed after a week with the Lotus Emeya.  Gary enlightens us with the superb LFA vs Carrera GT Top Gear Video and quickly pulls us back to earth on the topic of the cyber attack on JLR. We also talk China's domination of the EV market, and both the demise and return of physical controls. Ross brings the listener and forum member questions which we answer in as haphazard and unprepared manner as you would expect.

Less about cars in this show, and more about the roads we use them on. Wesley takes us through what went before, from the grand plans from the 60s that never came to fruition, to the new Narrow Water Bridge that is well underway. Ross reminds us of the dirt bike over the top of Toome Bypass bridge

Gaz and Andy are joined by RMS forum member Neil Magill. We'd like to say he's one of us, but maybe he's who we aspire to be. Anyway, he's currently building an MK RX-5 VTEC - think locaterfield kit car with a Type-R heart, building it at home. And he recently rescued a classic Impreza turbo in a local barn find. Also in this episode, the Rashmen's take on the Port Car Scene stirs up memories of the heady Max Power cruise days.

Andy regales a recent Silverstone Track Day, driving the new AM Vantage and advising a mate on a £15k hot hatch. Ross is excited for the return of Dubshed and to see the new R5. Gary brings a triumvirate of woe - VED increases, manufacturers up to no good, and that the 208 GTi won't be combustion powered, but brings it all back at the last minute with great plans for a new Civic Type R. And although we all agree that we no nothing about F1, we all very much miss the late Eddie Jordan.

Andy back to back tests the BMW i4 vs the Tesla Model 3 Performance, and the Ioniq 5N on track. Gary tells us the whole car market has gone to hell. And we discuss Jaguar's attempted resurgence.

Craig McKeown, known as Coog on the forum (and on the admin team) joins Andy, Ross and Gary to talk about two decades of track cars and tinkering. Craig's owned over 100 cars, his trackday Swift a regular appearance, but what about his MX5 he had for 9 years, painted four different colours and fitted an AliExpress Turbo? Or an epic family E39 M5 resto? We also talk ring and RMS Anglesey track trips, and prototyping using 3D printing. Craig does it all, and we were mightily impressed.

We headed to Carryduff to interview the one and only Davey Watson, of Pro Car Centre in Carryduff. Pro Car have been supplying car accessories since 1994, with Davey joining not long after that and running the place since. We regale everything from the Max Power days to today's detailing obsessives.

Gary tells us the new M5 has got too big for its boots. Ross saw the Cybertruck. And wants one. Andy visits BYD in Belfast, and drinks Clarkson's beer.
