Jo Elvin is a celebrated Writer and former Editor in Chief of Glamour Magazine, Editor of Mail on Sunday’s YOU magazine and CEO of Children with Cancer UK. During her impressive 17 year career at Glamour magazine, Jo famously launched the Women of the Year Awards and was a trailblazer at the publication and a true pioneer of glossy pages. She contributes articles for the majority of British titles including The Times, Telegraph, Evening Standard & Observer- hosts a weekly YouTube show ‘Palace Confidential’- hosts her podcast, Fame with Jo Elvin and writes for her highly successful Substack page ‘my goodness’.


In this episode we hear all about Jo's impressive career as an editor and journalist as well as her thoughts all around fate and how this is her decade to re write the script! Jo opens up for the first time about her 'what if' moment of the biggest move she never made to New York. We chat all about a Sliding Doors decision she took to leave working on the Aussie soap Neighbours and chose London over money, and we have an honest discussion about Jo's decision not to try for a second child.

    Bex Smith is an International Footballer, famous for captaining the Olympic and World Cup teams twice for New Zealand’s National Team and culminating her club career at VfL Wolfsburg winning The Treble as UEFA Champions League, German League, and German Cup Winners up until her retirement in 2013. She's worked as a manager of Competitions at FIFA running the women’s World Cups, then Strategic Planning for women’s football for the last 2 years at FIFA. Bex was also the Global VP of women’s football at COPA90 and in 2020 Bex started Crux Sports looking to bridge the gap between women’s football and football stakeholders.     Ade Adepitan is a TV presenter, Paralympic Medallist and Journalist. With a career spanning over 20 years, he is a disability advocate and one of the first physically disabled television presenters in the UK. Born in Lagos, Nigeria and raised in East London, he survived polio as youngster after he began to lose the use of his legs. Becoming a wheelchair basketball player, he was part of the British team that secured a Bronze medal at the Paralympics, Silver in the European Championships and Gold in The World Championships; And in 2005 he was made an MBE for his services to disability sport. He has won many awards for his work as a presenter at the Paralympics (including a BAFTA) and has hosted countless documentaries and Children in Need. In this episode we get stuck in with the many Sliding Doors Moments Ade has had in his life, including catching Polio and the 'what if' moment he met his wife. Ade has an incredible outlook on life, sports and the challenges we face, especially growing up as a Nigerian family in the 70s in the UK. We delve into the life saving decision Ade made in his teenage years to move to Spain to play basketball. He opens up about the incredible achievement of crawling up a volcano for a documentary, however if it wasn't for his strong will and a courageous decision things would have been very different.     Sonny Jay is a Presenter, Radio DJ, host of Capital radio’s late show and former winner of 13th series of ITV's Dancing on Ice. Sonny rose to fame in 2012 when he got to the finals of Britain's Got Talent as part of the band Loveable Rogues. In 2015 pop’s loss was radio’s gain, as Sonny dedicated himself to a broadcasting career.     Sam McKnight MBE is a hairstylist renowned for creating the most iconic looks and his work with celebrities such as Kate Moss, Princess Diana and Lady Gaga. Early on in his career Sam was an independent session stylist working for high-profile editorial shoots and a firm favourite at Vogue. In the early ‘90s Sam was best known for creating Princess Diana’s iconic slicked back hairstyle and became her personal hair stylist for 7 years and he has, and continues, to work extensively with supermodels Christy Turlington, Kate Moss & Naomi Campbell. He now has his own range of luxury haircare products - Hair by Sam McKnight and last year he was awarded an MBE for services to the fashion and beauty industries. In this episode Sam delves into the world of hair and the iconic styles and clients he has worked with over the years and where his drive comes from. We chat about the moment he decided to move to London in the ‘70s which started his whole career- and how the stars seemed to align for him getting his first job at Vogue.
