208. Episode 208: Marshmallow
01:00:36||Season 12, Ep. 208This week we covered a movie that we thought was a slasher at first, because it takes place at a Summer Camp and there's a "Doctor" stalking the kids dressed up like a high tech beekeeper. But it's not a slasher. It's a sci-fi thriller that has a cool twist ending. We spoil the whole movie so don't listen until you've watched it unless you're ok with spoilers! The story centers around a young boy named Morgan. It's his first summer at camp. But he has trouble fitting in. For starters, he's just at an awkward young age. But what doesn't help is that Morgan almost drowned not too long ago, so he has a lasting fear of water; something that won't be too popular at Summer Camp. Listen, tell a friend, and enjoy!

41:43||Season 12, Ep. 207Today we take a look back at the weekend of March 13-15, 2026 with some recordings from the floor of Milwaukee Horror Con. We talked to some friends of the show and commented on the fun we were having right there in real time. If you missed the Horror Con, you can listen here to catch a glimpse of how it went from our point of view. If you were there, then we hope you stopped to say hi. Check it out, and we'll talk to you next week with a regular episode.Special thanks to @Jason.VoorcheeseJoe PrositColby Does Horrorand all our other friends!
206. Episode 206: Mutilator 2
01:03:36||Season 12, Ep. 206We're back with Part 2 of our episode covering "Mutilator 2" from 2023. Our friend Colby from "Colby Does Horror" joins us again to finish the second half of this "amazing" sequel. In this part, the kills really start to ramp up as the cast and crew of the "Mutilator" remake try to enjoy their wrap party. It's painfully obvious who the killer is. And we just had fun picking apart the effects and the campy acting. Plus we went off on several tangents of our own.Find Colby here:Instagram @Colby.Does.HorrorYouTube: Colby.Does.HorrorFacebook: Coby.Does.HorrorEverywhere Else: Colby.Does.Horror
205. Episode 205: Mutilator 2
01:03:10||Season 12, Ep. 205This week we have a special guest in studio joining us to cover "Mutilator 2" from 2023. It's Colby, from @Colby_does_horror. Find links to Colby's stuff below. We spent a lot of time off-topic this week, which is why we split the episode into two parts. We definitely made it through the movie. It was tough, because it's not a great movie. The story follows the film crew shooting a sequel to the 1984 cult classic "The Mutilator." At the wrap party, someone's killing off members of the cast and crew and it's extremely obvious who it is right away. But the FX are great and we had fun joking around with our special guest.Find Colby here:Instagram @Colby.Does.HorrorYouTube: Colby.Does.HorrorFacebook: Coby.Does.HorrorEverywhere Else: Colby.Does.Horror
204. Episode 204: Scream 7
44:32||Season 12, Ep. 204We had to depart from our regularly scheduled podcast this week due to a scheduling conflict. Instead we went to the theater and covered a new release! It's "Scream 7" from 2026. This time it's a family affair when Ghostface comes for Sidney and her family. Why? Well, you'll have to listen to our reactions about that and decide for yourself if it's worth the watch. But as we always say, if you like the genre, you have to check it out. And if you've been a 30-year fan of the Scream franchise, then you can't miss this chapter!
203. Episode 203: The Greasy Strangler
01:08:16||Season 12, Ep. 203This week we covered "The Greasy Strangler" from 2016. Sometimes you come upon a slasher movie that's just so strange, it's hard to put into words. But somehow we managed to do it, and even talked about it for an hour. The story centers around Big Brayden and his father Big Ronnie. Together, they run a Disco Walking Tour. When both of them fall for the same woman, it sparks a rivalry between the two men. At the same time, a killer covered in grease starts menacing the town, strangling anyone who gets in his way. Also, there's tons of nudity.
202. Episode 202: Heart Eyes
01:01:41||Season 12, Ep. 202We're back for a Valentine's Day episode. We covered "Heart Eyes" from 2025. What a delightful little comedy/slasher movie! When Jay and Ally are forced to work together to save a failing ad campaign for jewelry, they end up getting stalked by a masked killer who targets couples in love. Can they survive Valentine's Day trying to convince the killer they're not actually a couple but at the same time falling for each other? Yeah, probably. And we talked all about it. A couple things in the movie didn't quite make sense, but hey, that's what slasher movies do! Don't blame us! Enjoy and tell a friend!
201. Episode 201: Cult of Blood
42:31||Season 12, Ep. 201We're back for a new year and a new season of SlashU! We wanted to start Season 12 off with a bang, but unfortunately we decided to cover a movie given to us by two of our loyal listeners. And it was bad. It's called "Cult of Blood" from 2024. Now, granted it stars low-budget horror royalty in the form of Felissa Rose and Dave Sheridan. But that's where the fun stops because this one was a weird, disjointed, train wreck of a plot from the start. A group of social media influencers get trapped by a vampire cult and have to escape before their blood becomes fuel for some dark ritual that unleashes a weird bat monster. Yeah, all that happens. It's hard to follow, didn't seem to have a real script, but definitely did have Windows 98 style special effects. Join us as we jump into the New Year!!
