This week we bring you another installment of our annual Shark Week departure from the typical cheesy, campy, sometimes forgotten slasher movies. This one is from 2014 and it's a straight-up short film stretched with tons of B-roll to make it long enough. It's "90210 Shark Attack" from 2014. It's the story of a high school class (really?) that's on a field trip. They're staying at a place in Beverly Hills but they plan to spend some time by the ocean studying sharks. However, a haunted shark tooth that one of the students has somehow gives her powers and the rest of the class has to deal with the consequences. That's the most I can dress this up to make it sound interesting. Listen, enjoy, tell a friend about the show!

It's that wonderful time of year where we step away from covering classic slasher movies and bring you a couple offerings of cheesy, campy, sometimes forgotten shark movies. This one is a blast from the past, all the way back to Season 5 of SlashU and the very first Shark Week themed podcast episode we did. It's "Ouija Shark" from 2020. A group of women find a haunted Ouija board washed up on shore and decide to use it. It conjures a ghostly shark that beings to hunt them all down. Thanks for re-taking our class with us!

Our first installment this year is "Camp Blood: Clown Shark" from 2024. It's an installment in the extensive "Camp Blood" series of movies. But don't worry, you don't have to know what's going on in order to watch this one, because you still won't know what's going on. And we're excited to share it with you! I'm not sure there's any need for further explanation other than....it's Mrs. Robinson meets a Slasher movie. Enjoy this throwback and share it with a friend!

From 2017, we bring you "Killer Campout" this week. The movie is set in 1989, although that part doesn't matter at all; this could've been set in 2017 or 1964, it didn't matter. A group of troubled youths are brought to a camp for some group therapy and outdoor nature exposure. But a sadistic, cannibalistic killer with a big sharp shield fresh from the Renaissance Faire begins killing and eating them. There's plenty of gory kills but not a lot of plot. Seems like the budget all went to the special effects in this one. Listen, enjoy, rate the show and tell a friend!

The "Hatchet" series is a favorite here at SlashU and we constantly reference director Adam Green as a staple in revitalizing the 80s-style over-the-top campiness of the kills and his use of practical effects. We're continuing our Summer Camp Slasher movie with a Tubi Original. From 2025, we bring you "Glamping." A group of almost-college-grads go on a weekend Glamping (that's short for "glamorous camping") trip.
