Em's Mum: 10-time Ironman and Queen of Having a Go
Today, we share one of our most highly requested episodes. It’s an interview with Em’s Mum! Having favoured smoking and drinking over exercise her entire life, Francie was given the opportunity to partake in an Ironman and said yes… without knowing what it actually was. An Ironman is a gruelling triathlon that consists of a 2.4-mile swim, a 112-mile bicycle ride and a marathon. Yep, a 26.2 mile run ON TOP of all that. Francie’s can-do attitude and endless hard work pushed her to compete in 10 Ironmans over the course of her 50s. Francie takes us through her extraordinary journey, how she still experiences imposter syndrome and you will see why Em is her number one fan (soon you will be too)!

59:31This week on the podcast, the girls are joined by Dr Amanda Brown. Twenty years ago, Amanda was content working as a GP at a quiet, suburban family practice, with many patients she'd seen throughout their entire lives. One day, after a shock meeting, she decided to leave the practice with no idea what was coming next. Out of the blue, she was asked if she wanted to take a shift at a prison. Despite never even thinking doctors worked in prisons, Amanda went on to have the most fulfilling years in her career as a prison doctor. She worked in both men's and women's prisons and talks us through their differences. She also shares why women are being failed in the prison system and how she only ever once had to ring the panic button. You can purchase Amanda's books The Prison Doctor, Women Inside and The Final Sentence hereFollow us on Instagram @shouldideletethatEmail us at shouldideletethatpod@gmail.comEdited by Daisy GrantMusic by Alex AndrewIs It Just Me: The wheels on the boat

01:03:10This week on the pod, Em and Alex are joined by the brilliant Jackie Adedeji. When Jackie was 11, she woke up to find she had FF cup boobs. She was unable to do the things her peers around her were doing, limited by the size of her breasts. Jackie was shamed into feeling as though her breasts made her a burden, and strongly considered getting a breast reduction. However, she decided practiced body neutrality as a stepping stone towards self acceptance. Jackie is now thriving, but it isn't always easy. Her energy is joyous, and you can follow her on Instagram @ohmygoshitsjackie or check out her Channel 4 documentary here: https://www.channel4.com/programmes/my-big-boobs-untold/on-demand/74692-001Follow us on Instagram @shouldideletethatEmail us at shouldideletethatpod@gmail.comEdited by Daisy GrantMusic by Alex AndrewIs It Just Me: My wife is down!
