This our last episode before a brief festive break, and I am super excited to welcome Tara Dower on the podcast today. She is an incredible thru hiker and ultra runner that has just made history and set the overall FKT (Fastest Known Time) on the iconic Appalachian Trail in 40 days, 18 hours and 5 minutes.

She tells us more about what she loves about the trail and her motivation to take this on. We also deep dive on how she worked with her crew to find flow state and keep pushing forward knowing they were 120 miles behind at the beginning.

We also talk about racing Hardrock before the FKT, curiosity, confidence, and her view on the sport, women and what’s ahead.
