Messy Jessi, Decoy Husbands and Beats by Dre| The Shade Report E5

The Shade Report is BACK and this week we have receipts, leaks, and one very unexpected Nobu sighting. We're breaking down everything happening off-screen in the world of reality TV

Starting with the messiest week in Mormon Wives history. Taylor Frankie Paul and Dakota Mortensen finally faced each other in a Utah courtroom, and yes, it was every bit as dramatic as you're imagining. We're unpacking the mutual protective orders, the custody battle, the leaked recordings, and why Dakota's own messy roommate helped blow the whole thing up online. Then Mikayla Matthews has officially left Utah for Hawaii, and we're talking about what that means for her, her health, and the show.

Plus, Jesse Lally confirmed his first cassette tape was NWA... the same year Michelle was born. Say less.

And over at Summer House? Bravo launched a full investigation into the leaked reunion audio turns out it was someone on production, not the cast and a Bravo fan actually helped crack the case. Andy Cohen called it one of the most emotional reunions he's ever filmed, and we believe him. We're getting into all of it without spoiling the full reunion, because some things are better said out loud.

This is your Shade Report and honey, the shade is HEAVY this week

  • The Valley S3 E6| Unamused and a male ego bruise

    47:02|
Unamused & A Male Ego Is Bruised | The Valley Season 3 Episode 6 RecapThe Valley packed its bags for San Diego and somehow managed to bring even more drama than luggage. We're recapping Season 3 Episode 6, "All Aboard!" and, girl, the train ride was the least chaotic part of this episode.First up: Tom Schwartz has a crush, and he wants everybody to know about it. He introduced model Kiana Carroll to the group at TomTom, explaining they met at Schwartz & Sandy's, kept it platonic for a while, then suddenly went "exponential." We have thoughts. Many of them. Schwartz is giving golden retriever in love for the first time, and Kiana pulled up with sunglasses still on indoors and sat at the head of the table at her own introduction. We're not saying anything. We're just saying.Zack is still keeping Janet at arm's length, willing to do brunch, unwilling to let one apology rewrite history, while Janet hears "we can be civil" and immediately starts decorating the friendship with balloons. Kristen clocks Zack for talking sideways about Janet while grinning in her face, which, yes. Meanwhile Lacy decides this is a great time to board the hate-Janet train, and we're ready to board with her! Then there's Danny and Nia, and this is where the episode gets real. Their tension feels less like cast-trip drama and more like marriage running out of softness. Danny losing patience, Nia shouldn't have to beg him to act like a present parent for five minutes while she eats a sandwich. A bruised male ego is on full display and we are not being quiet about it.The episode's saving grace? Lala and Michelle bonding over losing a parent — genuinely one of the most human moments this show has produced, and it hit. We're breaking it all down with the shade, the analysis, and the strong opinions you came here for.New episode recaps every Tuesday and Thursday. • Fessler Up: West, Jenn & The Rumor That Broke Bravo

    27:15|
The Shade Report | West & Jenn's Alleged Hookup, Mauricio's DMs Exposed, & Women Who SnappedThe Shade Report is back and we are not letting anything slide. This week we're breaking down the Bravo crossover drama nobody asked for but everybody needed: the alleged West Wilson and Jennifer Fessler hookup rumor that has the entire reality TV internet in a chokehold. After Jenn publicly defended West amid his explosive Summer House love triangle with Ciara Miller and Amanda Batula, Ciara fired back on Threads alleging that Jenn and West had actually slept together — and we are discussing every chaotic second of it. We get into how Ciara doubled down when fans pushed back, an old pizza video of West and Jenn resurfaced, and a years-old clip of West admitting to hooking up with a woman in her 50s suddenly went viral. We're also talking about how Ciara, Mikayla, and Taylor's online fallout helped blow the whole thing up into the multifranchise mess it became. And then there's Lala Kent vs. Mauricio Umansky — because Lala didn't come to play. On her podcast, Lala alleged that Mauricio slid into her DMs after she discussed his separation from Kyle Richards on air, claiming he asked her to grab a coffee. Mauricio clapped back hard, calling her a "f*cking liar" when caught by TMZ outside Craig's in LA — but then the actual DM got leaked, and honey, it said exactly what Lala said it said. Receipts were brought.Plus: our segment Women Who Were Pushed Too Far returns with two of the most unhinged and iconic stories we've covered yet — two women arrested for deploying glitter as a weapon (a choice, truly) and another woman hauled up on harassment charges for serenading her ex with Christmas carols outside his home. We are not judging. We are celebrating. Unhinged behavior has never looked so relatable.Subscribe to Shaded Reality for weekly reality TV recaps, Bravo commentary, and the shade your group chat doesn't have the range for.The content discussed in The Shade Report segment of Shaded Reality is intended for entertainment purposes only. 53:35|
Shaded Reality is back with a full breakdown of Summer House Season 10, Episode 14 — "The Turntables Have Turned" — and honey, the turntables were not the only things spinning. We're serving up everything you need from this chaotic final weekend in the Hamptons, starting with a complete rundown of Amanda's looks for West — yes, every side-eye, every smirk, every "I ride for Ciara" moment that felt just a little too convenient. We're tracking the receipts. Then we head to the beach for National Beach Day, where the mustaches were matching, the water guns were out, and the shade was already brewing. We break down the Ciara and West situationship update, Kyle finding out Amanda had been discussing a separation without looping him in, and what it all means for the most exhausting marriage on Bravo. But the main event? Lindsay Hubbard's Freedom Dinner 2.0 — a.k.a. The Lost Supper — and we go minute by minute so you don't miss a thing. From Carl and Bailey's kiss heard 'round the Hamptons, to Lindsay lighting Kyle's DJ career on fire at the dinner table, to Kyle's full crash-out, the Loverboy can throw, and that "f*ck you" to Amanda — we are in it. Our hot take: Kyle overreacted... but he was also absolutely pushed. And Amanda? Girlie had her fist in her mouth trying not to smile and we noticed.Subscribe to Shaded Reality for weekly Summer House recaps, Bravo hot takes, and all the reality TV commentary your group chat wishes it had. • Wax on, Show up, and Zack goes off| S3 E5 The Valley Bravo Recap

    55:23|
The Valley Season 3 Episode 5 Recap: Wax On, Show Up, and Zack Goes OffWe're back with our Shaded Reality recap of The Valley Season 3 Episode 5, "The Hive Mentality," and honey — this episode had Brazilian waxes, spray tans, a game night that half the cast ghosted, and a pool party where the truce we didn't ask for almost happened. Almost. The episode kicks off with Brittany, Kristen, and Zack getting Brazilians and spray tans ahead of Brittany's pool party redo — and yes, Zack walked past an open treatment room and jokingly claimed he "saw Kristen's uterus." We are STARTING there. Respect. Meanwhile, Janet announces she's hosting a game night and is inviting everyone — including Danny and Nia — even though she already knows they're not coming. Spoiler: Danny and Nia stayed home, and in the end only Brittany, Michelle, Lala, Schwartz, and a few friends showed up. Sorry, Janet. We really are. Kind of.Lala reveals that Zack had called her with a long list of everything Janet had done wrong, which means by the time we get to Brittany's pool party, the stage is fully set for a confrontation. Zack sits down with Janet at the pool party, and Janet apologizes for the things that hurt him — and Zack tells her, "This is what I wanted to hear from you, and I love this." Breakthrough! Growth! Peace!Yeah. We'll see how long THAT lasts. The party itself had all the classic Valley ingredients: bad pizza, drinks, weed, and everyone pretending to be casual while absolutely not being casual. And in the chaotic twist of the episode, Janet and Kristen end up smoking together — which honestly felt more productive than half the forced sit-downs this group keeps arranging. We're breaking it all down — the waxing, the no-shows, the Zack-and-Janet truce, and whether "The Hive Mentality" title is shade or just accurate. (It's both.) Tune in, subscribe, and leave us a review — where the recaps are hot but the shade is cool.
  • Bachelorette Rumors, Golden Life Teasers and Women be Wildin| The Shade Report

    24:12|
The Shade Report: Ciara's Revenge Era, The Golden Girls Go South, Whitney Exits Stage Left & Women Who Said "Enough"Welcome to The Shade Report — your weekly reality TV news roundup, and this week? We had receipts.First up, Summer House is in full chaos mode. Reunion audio leaks are still making the rounds, and in one clip Ciara Miller calls Amanda Batula a "snake" for pursuing West Wilson — the one guy she knew would blow up their friendship. Meanwhile, the In The City spinoff premieres May 19th right after the Season 10 finale, and yes — it will address "Scamanda" and Kyle and Amanda's split head on. Ciara really said watch me, showed up to the Met Gala, got cast on Dancing with the Stars, and left everyone else in the dust. We respect the arc. Reality TeaTV GuideOver in Mormon Wives land, Whitney Leavitt announced she's leaving Secret Lives of Mormon Wives — mid-performance, on Broadway, during her final night in Chicago. Very Roxie Hart of her. She confirmed Season 5 will be her last, saying she's "leaving with gratitude" and that the show "fell into her life organically" but now it's time for the next chapter. Broadway, DWTS, a holiday rom-com — the girl pivoted. We have to hand it to her. VarietyDeadlineNow about The Bachelorette — Taylor Frankie Paul's season may still air yet, we are waiting to hear for sure this week during ABC's upfronts. If the rumors are true then the season will air on ABC not a streamerAnd then there's The Golden Life — the RHONY legacy cast dropped their first teaser on May 4th, and these women are in Palm Beach on E!, claiming they've been "keeping quiet" and that "zen comes so easily" — right before multiple fighting scenes cut in. Luann and Sonja are already fighting over a man, with Luann declaring "He wanted to marry me, not you!" and Sonja firing back that he proposed to her too. It's giving not a single thing has changed and we are THRILLED. The show premieres this fall on E! E! News + 2And finally — we got into the women who were pushed too far and absolutely snapped. The marching band. The daily lemon DoorDash. The petty, the unhinged, and the honestly kind of iconic. We discussed it all. This is The Shade Report — where the recaps are hot but the shade is cool. The content discussed in The Shade Report segment of Shaded Reality is intended for entertainment purposes only. • You Are Who You Are| S10 E13 Summer House Full Recap

    57:09|
Shaded Reality | Summer House Season 10, Episode 13 Recap: "Ship Happens" Welcome back to Shaded Reality, the podcast where we watch reality TV so you don't have to, but let's be honest, you already did. This week we're diving deep into Summer House Season 10, Episode 13, "Ship Happens," and buckle up, because the shade is sailing in from every direction.First up: West Wilson and Ciara Miller are officially best friends again, and we have thoughts. Many, many thoughts. After a summer of will-they-won't-they energy that had the whole house on edge, West and Ciara pulled the ultimate plot twist, holding hands on a dock and announcing their new friendship like they just won a Nobel Peace Prize. The housemates celebrated like it was a wedding. We, however, are choosing emotional damage.Meanwhile, Amanda Batula missed the weekend in the Hamptons and apparently missed West's best night of his entire life while she was at it. We break down why Amanda's quiet jealousy is actually the most compelling storyline this season, what it says about her dynamic with West, and why "how did we go from zero to a hundred?" is the line of the episode. Then there's the main event: Carl Radke's Soft Bar soft launch a moment Carl has been manifesting since Season 8, and a night that felt equal parts triumphant and chaotic. The whole Summer House universe descended on the party (future In The City cast included), Carl gave an emotional speech that honestly hit, and Kyle sulked in a corner because Loverboy wasn't on the menu. Classic Kyle. But the moment we cannot stop talking about? Lindsay Hubbard and Sharon Radke sharing the same airspace. The interaction was brief. It was icy. Sharon complimented Lindsay's post-baby glow, Lindsay gave her the world's most tight-lipped smile, and then bolted. We're analyzing every microexpression. This episode had it all, rekindled situationships, marital tension, a soft bar that somehow caused hard feelings, and enough passive aggression to keep us fed for weeks. Tune in for the full breakdown, the hot takes, and the commentary you didn't know you needed.

  • West Had One Job| S10 E12 Summer House Full Breakdown

    50:55|
If you've been living under a rock (or just got sucked into the Scamanda spiral and need to catch up fast), this is the episode recap you need. We're breaking down Summer House Season 10, Episode 12 "Boys of Summer" and oh honey, the irony is THICK.We open with Ciara sobbing into Amanda Batula's lap while Amanda tells her "I see you." Let that marinate. AMANDA. BATULA. Telling Ciara she sees her — before we all found out about the West Wilson hookup that nobody asked for and everybody got. We are unpacking that moment with our full chest. We also get into how Carl Radke has fully transitioned into the fun dad of the Summer House less drama, more dadager energy. We break down why Amanda conveniently skips the weekend (we have theories, and they are spicy), and how Kyle literally admitted he has more fun when his wife isn't there. Yikes on several bikes. But the REAL conversation? West Wilson and his apology problem. We dive deep into why West only says sorry when he feels bad not because he actually hurt someone. It's performative accountability and we are calling it out. Ciara extended an olive branch in what could have been a genuine redemption arc for West... and he torched it. Because he hooked up with Amanda. We said what we said. This episode is the perfect jumping-on point for anyone who just discovered the show through the Scamanda drama we give you the full character backgrounds so you're not lost, just shaded in.New to Shaded Reality? Welcome. You're going to want to subscribe.
