Forecasting With Out-Liars with John Mink

With over 30 years of business experience (20 years in Supply Chain), John Mink has found much success in breaking down the traditional organizational barriers that divide functions and people within companies that impede success. Through trial, error, and continuous learning, he's been privileged to shepherd both large and small organizations, alike, in driving improvements through their Sales and Operations (S&OP) process - boosting both the customer experience and financial results.

There are many professionals that understand the science behind S&OP, yet lack the interpersonal and leadership skills needed to drive sustainable results. In his book "Forecasting with Out-liars", he attempt to change the narrative around supply chain issues through real-life experiences and how they were addressed. If you are tired of the same rhetoric that "supply will get better", you must read this book.

The goal is to have you see supply chain issues in a whole new light that may help you and your organization with some ideas and perspective on how to systemically change for the better. John has spent most of his career in Northern Illinois and worked for Motorola Inc. (wireless devices), Brightstar (distribution), Zebra Technologies (enterprise visibility and data capture), and Orica (mining services). He has recently joined HydraForce (Hydraulics) as VP of Global Supply Chain - embracing the next transformational challenge. Connect with Jon on Linkedin!
