Running Backwards

A fustian middle-aged misanthrope, fatigued by his own mediocrity, foundering in the wake of his wife’s death and restless with confusing memories, falls under the spell of a pernicious barrow boy book agent.

The author seeks counsel from a questionable TV pseudo-therapist as a series of unsettling dreams begin to hint at the memory of murder.

Persuaded to abandon his life in order to write a ruinous confessional the author finds himself reeling around the country on his knackered old motorbike, hounded by his own inadequacies.

Proving himself to be an inept investigator, the author resorts to questionable methods in order to locate the one person who might advance his enquiries.
