Today is 21 minutes of low-intensity rowing followed by a 4 minute cool down, all at a controlled stroke rate.
The focus is energy control. I use the idea of having two petrol tanks — the energy you have available for training, and the energy you still need for everything else in your life.
The aim isn't simply to row more gently. It's to become better at deciding when to use your energy and how efficiently you use it.
And that brings us back to rowing technique: let your legs start the stroke, connect that power through your core, then finish with the body and arms. The more efficiently those parts work together, the more you can get from the effort you're putting in.
Keep this one comfortable, follow my stroke rate and use the row to build fitness while keeping plenty in reserve.

21. 25 Minute Rowing Workout to Row Stronger for Longer | Row Along With Me
44:34||Season 5, Ep. 21This 25 minute rowing workout will help you build fitness while working on a stronger, more comfortable rowing position — so you can keep rowing well for longer.👉 Full RowAlong Daily Workout playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL8ookhrQKwvKEfSfOxp73vX02j8LrtUilToday is 21 minutes of low-intensity rowing followed by a 4 minute cool down, and I'm putting a lot of focus on something that can make a huge difference to how your rowing feels: posture and connection. We start by looking at how you sit on the machine, where your hips are positioned, your foot stretcher setup and how all of that affects your ability to connect your legs to the handle. Then during the row, I'll help you put it together: sit tall, establish your forward position, connect through the whole foot and let the power flow from legs → body → arms.Good rowing isn't just about going faster. Better positioning can help you row more efficiently, make better use of your power and keep the stroke feeling comfortable as the minutes build up.There is also a slightly unexpected real-life demonstration today! About two minutes into the row my lower back suddenly goes into spasm. I back the intensity right off, work out what has happened and continue cautiously as it settles. It certainly wasn't planned, but it ends up reinforcing rather effectively why I've spent so much time talking about good positioning and movement.Choose an intensity that works for you, follow my stroke rate if you want to, and RowAlong with me.Chapters00:00 Welcome & today's workout 01:08 Set your resistance 01:38 How you sit changes your rowing 03:31 Foot stretcher height & shoe setup 05:53 Start rowing 07:51 An unexpected interruption! 11:20 Why technique matters 14:48 Build a stronger rowing posture 19:49 Relax → Float → Drive 21:45 Connect your core 23:14 Push through the whole foot 26:56 4 minute cool down 31:13 Post-row stretching 43:10 Training fatigue & knowing when to ease off 44:00 See you next time⚠️ Health Warning: Always consult your doctor before starting a new exercise programme. 18. Reset Every Stroke | 25 Min Rowing Workout for Better Technique
42:56||Season 5, Ep. 18This 25 minute rowing workout gives you time to build your aerobic fitness while making every stroke smoother, more relaxed and more effective. Row along with me at a comfortable intensity and use each stroke as another chance to reset your technique.Today we're keeping the stroke rate and intensity under control, which gives you something incredibly useful: time to actually feel what you're doing on the rowing machine.Rather than simply collecting metres, I want you to use this row to find a good position, connect properly through your feet and let the stroke flow from the legs, through the body and into the arms. And if one stroke doesn't feel quite right? Forget it.The next stroke is another chance to reset. That's the focus I want you to take away from today's RowAlong Daily Row. 15. What If You Rowed Today? | 25-Min Easy Rowing Workout
44:32||Season 5, Ep. 15Aug 26: What if you rowed a 25-minute indoor rowing workout, easy rowing, low intensity cardio? Row along with me for a steady 21-minute row, plus cooldown and stretching, and see where a simple “what if?” can lead.In today’s RowAlong workout, I take you through a 21-minute low intensity, low stroke rate row, followed by a 4-minute cooldown and a full post-row stretch. This is the kind of session that helps you build fitness without draining yourself. It’s ideal if you want to move well, feel better, get some cardio in, and stay consistent with your rowing.Along the way, I also get into a simple idea that can change a lot: what if?What if you trained a little more consistently? What if you gave yourself permission to improve? What if today’s easy row was the start of something bigger? So if you want a workout that feels manageable, useful, and maybe a little motivating too, come and RowAlong with me.Chapters00:00 Intro & setup03:18 Row begins06:07 Why easy rowing still counts14:49 Listening to your body24:16 Cooldown28:33 Stretching34:48 The “What If?” mindset⚠️ Health Disclaimer: Please consult a doctor before starting any new exercise programme. 14. How Small Steps Lead to Big Progress | 25-Min Follow Along Rowing Workout
44:25||Season 5, Ep. 14Aug 25: This 25-minute easy rowing workout is about the small wins that build big results. RowAlong with me at low intensity, get your body moving and add another positive step towards your goal. You don’t have to transform your fitness today. You don’t need a PB. You don’t need the scales to suddenly drop. And you don’t need to finish the workout feeling destroyed.Sometimes progress is simply doing one useful thing today, then another tomorrow, and allowing all of those little improvements to accumulate. That’s exactly what we’re doing here: 21 minutes of comfortable rowing, a 4-minute cool-down and a guided stretch afterwards. Match my rhythm if you want, choose an effort that suits you, and get another good row in the bank.Later, I use the slightly ridiculous example of eating a giant box of Maltesers one at a time: remove one and nothing appears to change. Keep going, though, and eventually you look back and realise just how much has disappeared.Fitness works much the same way. Those tiny sessions, slightly better choices, small improvements in pace and achievable short-term targets eventually become something much bigger.Micros create the macro.🚣 21 min easy continuous rowing😌 4 min cool-down🧘 Guided stretching afterwards🎯 Low intensity, sustainable effort✅ One more small win towards whatever YOUR goal isDon’t worry about making today remarkable.Just make it count.Don’t Row Alone.
