Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A dark knight…Okay, that’s from the movie The Dark Knight, I cheated. But honestly, it was the only thing I could think of. I didn’t know what else to write to try and describe this talk. There isn’t much anyone can say. It’s open and honest and raw as hell. Jay questions aspects of his life and beliefs. Wonders if he really was the hero he thought he was. Wonders if he’s really as strong as he thought he was. Especially the more he’s hurting, and the more life keeps knocking him down and bloodying him up. It’s a talk and it’s a conversation and it’s an apology. That’s the best I could do to describe what you’re about to hear. It’s a real good one. And important.
