Pick Up You Mat and Walk

Season 1

Once the man addressed the “do you want to get well question he then instructs the man “Get up! Pick up your mat and walk. I often wondered why mention the mat when the fact that he could now walk was all that one needed to know. The mat or bedroll was like a piece of furniture that metaphorically anchored a person to a specific location either temporarily or permanently. It represents an address or reoccurring habit.

We all have them you know...mats... places or things that we have anchored ourselves to thinking it gives us safety or familiarity.

There is much more to this story but today think about this:

What legends have you been told or believed that you thought gave you hope but simply do not.

Jesus however, who is not legend, gives us the promise of a new hope but more then that... a change of address from a life disappointment to one that is genuinely full.

The question is are you ready to pick up your mat and walk?

  • Palm Sunday (Prophetic Clock)

    09:04
It's been days since the day known as Palm Sunday has occurred. Talk in the streets in Jerusalem is still electric as the rumor has spread that the long awaited Messiah has arrived, that the freedom of Israel from the oppressor of Rome is imminent. The story is being told over and over and over to the few that did not witness it. To this day, few understand that Palm Sunday was a supernaturally choreographed event where each step was planned hundreds, if not thousands, of years earlier. There was nothing about that day that was a coincidence. And for many, there will be no excuse that they did not know what was happening.
