You may only be familiar with the eating disorders known as anorexia or bulimia, but disordered eating appears in many forms. With today’s societal pressures heightened through mainstream media, eating disorders can be formed through insecurity, wanting to feel in control, shortcutting a fitness journey, or many other ways. In today’s episode, Kevin Burciaga joins me to teach myself and listeners about eating disorders. 


Kevin Burciaga is a physical therapist and an eating disorder specialist. Through combining his knowledge on both, Kevin is committed to helping people conquer their eating disorders. His own experience suffering and recovering from an eating disorder is what has inspired his career in developing a method to help others recognize and overcome their bad habits related to food. Kevin has created a three-month program called the Empowered Eating System in which he teaches to students, athletes, young professionals, and many others about eating disorders and how to rise above them.
