For those of you who have joined, you may have answered the initial survey questions, some of which highlight the common problems that every leader faces. So today, I pull it apart a little. This super practical episode is loaded with specific advice that you’ll want to bookmark and keep coming back to, including:10 common root causes of slow progress, unexpected delays, and missed targets;6 techniques for uncovering hidden bottlenecks; andMy foolproof 4-step process for understanding and communicating delays, and resetting expectations with your stakeholders. ————————Join our FREE No Bullsh!t Leadership Hub community on Skool. 04:48|Moment #91 // You’ve no doubt heard the expression, Employee Engagement. It’s roughly equivalent to the age-old concept of job satisfaction, or JSAT. The big question is, does increased employee engagement improve performance? It sounds like it should be true – as long as you believe that happy workers are productive workers. Unfortunately, I don’t! Most often, happy workers are just… happy! If you want to find out more about the reality of leading employees to be happy, and to perform at their peak, have a listen to Ep.199: Employee Engagement————————FREE QUIZ: I’ve developed a 3-question quiz that’ll give you a free personalized podcast playlist tailored to where you are right now in your leadership career!Click here to take the 30-second quiz now to get your on-the-go playlist————————You can connect with me at:Website: https://www.yourceomentor.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/yourceomentorInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/yourceomentorLinkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/martin-moore-075b001/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@YourCEOMentor————————320. Is Data Illiteracy Holding You Back? How to make better decisions
18:58||Season 1, Ep. 320Episode #320 // Was Lucy Letby wrongly convicted in her healthcare murder trial? We may never know… but what we do know is that her trial was plagued by serious flaws in the statistical evidence presented by the prosecution.I find it just a little disturbing that the judge, lawyers, and jury were so innumerate, that they accepted the bogus statistics on face value. This lack of numeracy is probably just as endemic in business! But everyone talks a good game, and it’s often difficult to see the glaring holes that lie just below the surface.During my corporate career, I worked with a bunch of board directors, career politicians, and senior executives who exhibited a stunning lack of basic numeracy. In today's episode, I review the cautionary tale of the Lucy Letby trial; I take a look at how to build a robust process for decision-making; and I finish with eight ways to overcome the scourge of data illiteracy.Trigger Warning: Sensitive ContentThis episode includes a discussion about the trial of Lucy Letby, which touches on distressing topics such as infant deaths and the handling of evidence in serious criminal cases. These subjects may be particularly difficult for listeners who have been affected by the loss of a child or cases involving medical or legal malpractice. Please proceed with caution and take care while listening. If needed, feel free to skip this episode.————————FREE QUIZ: I’ve developed a 3-question quiz that’ll give you a free personalized podcast playlist tailored to where you are right now in your leadership career!Click here to take the 30-second quiz now to get your on-the-go playlist————————You can connect with me at:Website: https://www.yourceomentor.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/yourceomentorInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/yourceomentorLinkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/martin-moore-075b001/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@YourCEOMentor————————Our mission here at Your CEO Mentor is to improve the quality of leaders, globally.Moment #90 Can You Still Be Happy If You Don't Have a Purpose?
04:57|Moment #90 // There’s a lot of talk these days about purpose… we’re indoctrinated with the notion that, if you don’t pursue your purpose, what you choose to do has no meaning or value.I’m calling bullsh!t…I didn’t find my true purpose until I was in my mid-50s – but in the years prior to that, I loved my life, and made a hell of an impact. If you want to find out more about the reality of pursuing your purpose, have a listen to Ep.201: Finding Your Purpose————————FREE QUIZ: I’ve developed a 3-question quiz that’ll give you a free personalized podcast playlist tailored to where you are right now in your leadership career!Click here to take the 30-second quiz now to get your on-the-go playlist————————You can connect with me at:Website: https://www.yourceomentor.comFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/yourceomentorInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/yourceomentorLinkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/martin-moore-075b001/Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/@YourCEOMentor————————Our mission here at Your CEO Mentor is to improve the quality of leaders, globally.319. 5 Rules for Leading Through Change Without Losing Your Team
