Amy Kells is one of 1980's longest running artists and an unfiltered, wide-open-throttle creative to her core. Believing that all people possess an artistic drive from birth, she never saw herself going that direction as a child. But a combination of skill, fortunate intervention, and having tested alternative waters eventually led her to pivot halfway through school from academia to a fine arts degree. Nancy Anderson and Ruth Geller have been longtime friends of the studio, and have the types of art careers we love to feature: they have both practiced art consistently for decades, evolving through styles and media as mastery of one led to the search for new challenges. Having participated in exhibitions, won awards, and moved around the country, neither seeks the art "scene" so talked about by laymen and portrayed endlessly in Hollywood.
