Before Katie Taylor there was Deirdre Gogarty from Drogheda but unfortunately Deirdre's incredible rise to world championship boxing glory is largely unknown but not anymore as the Deirdre Gogarty Legacy Committee have organised a big homecoming for Deirdre a night celebrating her incredible career. Sinéad caught up with her earlier this week from her home in Louisiana to discuss her career, her excitement about being ring side for Katie Taylors home coming fight and to finally share her story and legacy where it all started in Drogheda.
