In our look at the life of faith, we have examined receiving by faith and achieving by faith. Let's remember that everything God gives us: the promises, the Holy Spirit and His gifts, resources, talents, all of it, is for accomplishing the great commission. At Living Word, we say, "Live the Gospel; Preach the Gospel. Let's talk about what preaching the Gospel -YOU preaching the Gospel- looks like.

We interrupt our series on Faith Heroes to bring you an important message: God loves you! Sure, we know it, right? Few people have actually argued that they are not loved by God. But few people live daily with anything like a full awareness of just HOW God loves them, and how MUCH. Our very faith is irrevocably bound to our understanding of God's love, so let's spend some time getting a grip on that!

Many times we have heard it said that one of the biggest mistakes we can make is to seek God's hand rather than seek His face. We certainly need to guard against greed and selfishness, and we certainly need to be focused on the glory of God. There is a danger, though, of falling into the trap of believing that God does not delight in blessing us because He loves us. Let's take a look at one of the true heroes of the Old Testament, and see if we can learn a little about glory and blessing from the story of David and Goliath.

Tonight, Pastor Mike encourages believers to embrace the victory already won through Jesus Christ. They are called to share this victory in their lives and to recognize their identity as conquerors. Faith is essential for walking in this victory, and worry is seen as a barrier to trust in God. The power of God's word is highlighted as crucial for achieving victory, urging believers to meditate on it and celebrate the triumph secured by Jesus.

Pastor Mike highlights biblical teachings about being an overcomer and the importance of building life on a solid foundation in Christ. While challenges are inevitable, victory through faith is attainable. Prayer and praise are vital tools for overcoming difficulties, urging active participation in faith to stand strong and be a force for good.

When we talk about the importance of faith in our lives, we often focus on two things: RECEIVING by faith, and DOING by faith. And the great "hall of faith" in Hebrews 11 offers us examples of both of those things. But the word of God tells us, "the just shall LIVE by faith". Let's take a closer look at that, and at the tragic story of a faith hero who didn't do it.

God places us in specific relationships throughout our lives for a purpose. Why is it that sometimes those relationships seem difficult? We may be tempted to “break the yoke,” but there are things that can and should be learned through those connections.

Sorry for the bad pun for a title, but following up on the account of king Asa's rule, we can identify some more kingdom principles and specific applications that will help us understand the word of God and live the abundant, victorious life Christ promises!
