Having nowhere to call home and its direct impact on children in Limerick

There are more than 370 children currently living in emergency accommodation across Limerick and Clare.

And with the summer holidays underway, Focus Ireland is warning that homelessness can mean children missing out on some of the basic experiences of childhood, from having friends over to play, to summer camps, and simply having somewhere stable to call home.

Leading psychologist Dr Sharon Lambert and Patrice Kelleher from Focus Ireland’s Childers Road Family Initiative in Limerick join the show.
