S5 E1 Anatomy Of A Movie: Little Women 1933 (With Christina Scott)
This time Christina and I are discussing about our thoughts related to the first Little Women movie.
"Little Women" is a 1933 film adaptation of Louisa May Alcott's classic novel of the same name. The movie follows the March sisters – Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy – as they navigate love, loss, and the challenges of growing up during the Civil War era. The sisters are close-knit but have distinct personalities, with Jo being particularly headstrong and ambitious. As they face various trials and tribulations, they learn the importance of family, friendship, and perseverance. The film touches on themes of love, sisterhood, and independence, making it a timeless and heartwarming story.

12. S6 E12 Jo & Fritz Are Having A Baby (Fan Fiction Reading Of "Travail")
26:24||Season 6, Ep. 12This time, I am reading a fanfic written by littlerumbird called "Travail." This is one of my personal favorites. Jo and Friedrich's second son is born, and I appreciate that we meet many characters from the stories again.Say Hi on Social:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/podcastinglittlewomenTumblr: https://www.tumblr.com/blog/littlewomenchannelTikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@littlewomenchannelPlease notice that Little Women podcast has it's focus on the book canon. Laurie is partially based on Alcott's ex Laddie Wisniewski and friend of the Alcott sisters Alf Whitman and Friedrich is based on philosopher Henry David Thoreau, who Alcott wanted to marry and the German poet Goethe (her favorite writer). I also firmly believe that Alcott planned the marriages in Little Women, years before she wrote the book, you can read more about that here https://archiveofourown.org/works/52882897?view_adult=trueYou can contact Niina at bluecastlefan@gmail.com (fanmail and business proposals only thank you).11. S6 E11 Wide Wide World, A Book That Inspired Little Women
19:41||Season 6, Ep. 11This time I will tell you about a book that inspired Little Women. This book is Susan Warner's Wide Wide World. Wide Wide World appeared when LMA was 18 years old, and there is a moment in Little Women, where 15 year old Jo "was reading and crying over Wide Wide World in the apple tree". Best way I can describe Wide Wide World is a "Christian romance"? with plenty of morals and self-reflection. It was an interesting read, but as I love history it was great fun to do research on Susan Warner who was an interesting woman.
