Protest Against Russia's Aggression

When Russia invaded Ukraine, an artist from the group known as the "sixtiers" Шістидесятники Lyubov Panchenko commenced a hunger strike. Her home town of Bucha became a killing field for invading orcs from the north. I refrain from using a title of a country that has been nothing but thieves since autumn of 1671, when they changed their nation's name from Moscovia to Rus'.

This is an expanded version produced using better hardware than I had long ago, with a much improved knowledge on my part regarding sound production. It gives a glimpse into the like of Ukraine's bard and poet Taras Shevchenko and the American-British actor Ira Aldridge.

About Things Ukrainian

I've been producing these segments for Nash Holos Ukrainian Roots Radio for many years. I originally conceived the title and theme in early 2010 a number of months after having lived in Ukraine for over a decade. I will cover topics such as art in its different forms, plastic and performing forms. I will explore moments of Ukrainian history, literature and the individuals involved. I have always loved many different genres of music, and will explore the individuals who create music and introduce listeners to their works. If it's Ukrainian I will cover it, regardless of where on the face of this planet it's located. Like a good friend of mine once said, "There are only two types of people. Ukrainians and those who want to be Ukrainian!"
